BUSINESSES will get the chance celebrate their success through a new business awards, which are backed by major Hyndburn companies and Hyndburn Borough Council. Enterprising People is organising the Hyndburn Business Awards in partnership with lovelocalnetworking. The prestigious ceremony will be held in Accrington Town Hall on June 14.
The organisers have been involved in organising Rossendale Business Awards for the past six years and the format was successfully replicated in Ribble Valley two years ago. Stonehouse Logic, in Clayton le Moors, are sponsoring the top award.
Managing director Mark Hope said: “We see ourselves as a Hyndburn-based organisation and have been going since 1998 and employ 34 staff. We see Hyndburn doing well and it has a thriving business community. When we had the opportunity to get involved with the business awards we were pleased to do so. We have seen other award ceremonies and how they have grown. These have helped businesses to get to know each other and see how they can help each other.”
Rob Carder, from Enterprising People, said: “I have lived and worked in Hyndburn for many years and am aware of the diverse range of high quality businesses. The awards Rossendale and Ribble Valley have been a huge success, tremendously well supported and are keenly contested. When we started Rossendale there were just seven awards and around 20 people at the first ceremony, last year’s was standing room only with more than 200 people keenly contesting 14 awards. The time is right for businesses in Hyndburn to give themselves a well deserved pat on the back and for customers to have the chance to praise companies, shops and services. Businesses have faced some tough times recently making it even more important that their success is acknowledged. We have been delighted with the support we have received from large and small businesses; they are enthusiastic about the idea of having businesses lauded as the best.”
